Paul Harvey wrote his famous speech called “So God Made A Farmer” in 1978. His tribute to farmers contains arguably the best-known words ever spoken about agriculture. This wall hanging is a quote extracted from his speech. It was given to us by a very dear employee who is no longer with us, Tony Defusco. It hangs in one of the most used rooms in our house – the mudroom!
Today I reflect on the incredibly perceptive truth of his simple words. Here we are, all four of us - myself, my husband and my two sons, ready to take on everything to grow another crop of potatoes.
