Today is National Potato Chip Day. Why not celebrate in style by making your own homemade potato chips? My new recipe offers instructions on how to make salt & vinegar potato chips, dill potato chips and ranch potato chips using your air fryer. (I also included how to oven bake the potato chips if you don’t have an air fryer.) All you need is one large yellow potato, a bit of olive oil and a few seasonings to enjoy these crispy chips.

What do the guys at the farm have to say about Christina and myself on International Women’s Day? Here are their direct quotes (which were a piece of cake to collect!)
“My mom and Christina work closely with the rest of the management to keep the farm organized and moving in the right direction. Their work is extremely important and we are lucky to have such a capable team working in the office.” Curtis Thompson “I could do BJ and Christina’s job if I liked phones, computers and being pleasant….I can’t do BJ and Christina’s job!” RJ Thompson Thanks for the kind words! It’s always nice to be appreciated. If you would like to see more about women in agriculture, you can visit “Spud-tacular” to read an article that was published in the East Gwillimbury Women in Business section highlighting my role at the farm. Folklore says you can predict winter weather based on the woolly bear caterpillar stripe. I found this little guy in my garage last November and decided to test out this animal myth. The very long stripe indicated that we should have had a very mild winter, and boy was that true! This winter has broken all kinds of records for warmth in Southern Ontario, and it seems the trend will continue. Today the farm looks more like early April than early March. Thanks for sending us a mild winter little caterpillar! You can visit “Looking Back As We Spring Forward!” to see what a more typical winter at the farm looks like.
I never know what will capture my interest as I travel our farm with my camera in hand. Today I present my “Close Encounters Of A Pattern Kind” picture collection. Many of these photos were gathered the hard way as I crawled under equipment, waded through thistles, got good and dirty in our fields, and froze my fingers at my chicken coop. Goes to show you that my passion for photography is only equaled by my passion for sharing everything about our farm with all of you! You can visit “Picturesque Patterns” to see some more interesting patterns that caught my eye.
We have sad news from our farm today. Our Murray has now begun his final adventure in the great beyond. We have buried him where he has a great view of his kingdom that he ruled for almost 16 years. He brought us great joy every day, and we enjoyed sharing his adventures with all of you. Rest easy #IAmMurray. You were a special dog and will always have place in our hearts. You can visit “The Conversation” to see a video of Murray laying down the rules to the swans in our irrigation pond.
